ClickFunnels is easily one of the most well known sales funnel platforms on the market at the moment.
But if you’ve already checked out their landing page, you may have noticed that the various pricing plans and costs aren’t made particularly clear. And getting past all the hard selling of the 14-day free trial to get to the nitty-gritty really takes some trying.
However, we’ve been looking into it, and it turns out that the costs can run very high indeed. The Platinum Plan for example costs over $3,500 a year!
So it’s not to be taken lightly, and its potential value for your business really needs to be thoroughly examined before you go spending that kind of money.
And that’s what this article is here for. We’re going to kick things off with a quick summary before going into more detail about the various plans and their respective costs.
We’ll also take a look at accessing the free trial, and talk about whether all the hype surrounding ClickFunnels is true.
Then we’ll wrap up with a conclusion on whether ClickFunnels is good value for money, before going on to talk about some of the alternative options to ClickFunnels.
Summary Of ClickFunnels Pricing
There are just three pricing plans available for ClickFunnels.
The cheapest plan, ClickFunnels Starter, is fairly steep at $97 per month.
Then there’s the Platinum Plan, which costs almost three times as much, coming in at $297 per month, but does have a lot more going for it than the starter plan.
Then it goes even higher again for the TwoCommaClub, which costs a whopping $2,497.
But this quick summary doesn’t really tell you much, so let’s take a look at what exactly you get for each of the plans.
What Does ClickFunnels Actually Cost, And What’s Included?
With such discrepancy between the costs of each plan, you can bet that each plan has a very different servicing offering. Let’s take each one in turn, look into what’s included, and assess what sort of business they are suited to.
Is The ClickFunnels Starter Plan Right For My Business?
To be fair, the starter pack on offer is quite generous…
You get up to a whopping 100 landing pages at your disposal, which is more than enough for a small business, possibly even for a medium-sized business.
And although you don’t get a separate sales funnel for each of these landing pages, you do get 20 different sales funnels to work with.
You also get 3 different domain names, and 3 different payment gateways.
And that’s not all. You also get a membership site for your business’s subscribers, and that is completely separate from the 100 landing pages we referred to earlier.
And you get live chat support included in the price too.
But the starter plan does have some notable drawbacks.
First off, it does not include any email marketing. And this is a quick way to lose customers. If you have no means of keeping in touch with potential customers, you risk losing their custom altogether.
That said, it is perfectly possible to integrate an email marketing tool into your ClickFunnels platform. However, this would come at an additional cost on top of what you’re already paying.
All in all, we would have to concede that the starter plan is fairly good value for money for small business. However, we would recommend considering some of the alternatives before you go ahead with the ClickFunnels free trial. More on those a little later.
Is The Platinum Plan Right For My Business?
Now, the Platinum plan costs approximately three times as much as the starter plan, so it does come with better features. Most notably email marketing.
However, we would not advise paying for the Platinum plan simply to add on the extra integrated email marketing. This is because you can get far cheaper email marketing elsewhere. You may even be able to get free email marketing from certain sources.
But the Platinum plan has several other features beyond that. For example, you get 9 different domain names, 9 different payment gateways, unlimited landing pages and unlimited sales funnels. And when it comes to live chat support, you’re given priority over those who are on the starter plan.
The features of the Platinum plan really lend themselves to some business models over others. For example, it’s a great plan for marketing agencies, or for influencers who promote several different brands, or for those running several affiliate programs.
Is The TwoCommaClub Plan Right For My Business?
As we mentioned in our summary of prices earlier, the TwoCommaClub costs a whopping $2,497 per calendar month. And that’s a very high price by anyone’s standards.
As such, the TwoCommaClub is basically just for those businesses that are not only highly successful but are also very large and are making a lot of money in the way of profits.
It does have more to offer than the Platinum plan. More specifically, this includes more than three times as many users. Ten users to be exact. And you get 27 domains and payment gateways, which is a whopping three times as many that are on offer on the Platinum Plan.
You also get priority VIP telephone support, which is exactly what you need if you ever need to rectify an issue as soon as possible.
Unless your business is either a global or at least nationwide brand, the TwoCommaClub plan is probably out of your league.
All About Accessing The Free Trial
You can access ClickFunnels free of charge for a trial period that lasts for a total of 14 days.
In order to access the free trial, you do have to provide your bank details to be able to sign up. This is so that ClickFunnels can start charging you a fee as soon as your free trial has expired. They are in this to make money, after all.
If you don’t want to get charged a fee, you will have to cancel the free trial before the end of the 14-day free trial period.
And, as a note of caution, some businesses have claimed that they were still charged a fee after cancelling the account. On this basis, we wouldn’t recommend making the most of the free trial unless you believe you are highly likely to continue with it long after the trial period has expired.
Can We Believe The Hype Around ClickFunnels? Is It Really Going To Turn My Life Around?
The hype that surrounds the whole ClickFunnel gig is almost off the charts.
Founder Russel Brunson asserts that signing up to ClickFunnels is nothing short of life changing. But, it’s not just him that’s saying it. The ClickFunnels is full to the brim with glowing testimonials and dramatic success stories.
It’s certainly enough to make people wonder if ClickFunnels is legit.
The copy on their various website pages is pretty salesy, and they concentrate their description of their services in terms of what kinds of results they can deliver rather than on going into any detail on the product and service offering itself.
But if a company this persuasive is asking for nearly $100 a month at a minimum, it’s no surprise that some people wonder if it’s some kind of scam.
However, we can confirm that ClickFunnels is definitely not a scam, and it is a legitimate business, and everything it does and offers is 100% above board.
As for whether the platform can actually turn your life around, that’s quite another matter.
If you’ve never used ClickFunnels before or anything similar, you may be amazed at what it can do for your business. It’s a very effective platform, and the techniques and funnels that they have to offer are proven to produce high conversion rates that will get your products and/or services sold.
But it’s important to bear in mind that sales funnel tools such as ClickFunnels are just a small part of a much bigger picture. It is not enough to simply set up ClickFunnels and hope for the best.
In order for ClickFunnels to work really well for your business, it should merely be one cog in your sales and marketing wheel. Sure, having a range of landing pages is great, but you’ve also got to get them onto the landing pages in the first place.
You will also need to plan and implement a marketing plan that utilizes the various social media platforms to get your company’s products and/or services trending. You need to engage with your potential customers and bring them around to your company’s brand.
Wrap Up: Is ClickFunnels Good Value For Money?
Ok, we’re going to level with you here. Sure, what ClickFunnels has to offer can be good value for money if you like their templates, or if you’re a marketing agency, influencer or an affiliate marketer.
But for most small to medium businesses, there are better alternatives out there. Which brings onto our next section.
